Manager of Brands is a Newcastle-based hospitality group built around restaurants with personality. Our work started with a simple belief: a restaurant should be more than a menu. It should have a point of view, a clear story, a strong team and a guest experience people remember.
Today, the group brings together Dabbawal, Khai Khai and DOOD — three different restaurant brands connected by craft, culture and hospitality. From Indian street food to smoke-led Indian cookery and the flavours of Persia and the Levant, each restaurant has its own identity, but the same focus on quality, atmosphere and people.
We create, operate and grow restaurant brands. Our work covers hospitality operations, food development, guest experience, brand identity, marketing, social content, events and team development. We are hands-on in every part of the restaurant experience — from the food story and interior feel to the way our teams are trained, how our content is created and how guests remember their visit.
We make people feel welcome.
We care about technique, ingredients, service and presentation.
Every brand has its own culture, history and identity.
We support people who want to learn, improve and take responsibility.
Every idea should make the guest experience stronger.
Our restaurants are led by people who understand food, operations, service and brand. Behind each venue is a wider team working across kitchens, front of house, creative, marketing, recruitment and operations. We believe good hospitality starts with good people. That means clear standards, supportive training, strong communication and respect for every role — from chefs and bartenders to hosts, servers, managers and content creators.
